Bluestem Earth Festival 2015 at the Unv. of St. Francis

The Bluestem Earth Festival is organized by the Joliet Franciscan Sisters to increase awareness of the need for a healthy earth, healthy living and social justice issues in our community. All residents are invited to attend this family friendly event on the Unv of St. Francis campus on Sat, May 30.
Bluestem Earth Festival 2015 is FREE and will take place on Saturday, May 30th from 10:00A.M. to 3:00P.M. at the University of St. Francis, Joliet, IL.
Empowering individuals and families to live more sustainable, socially responsible lifestyles.
The Joliet Franciscan Sisters are committed to peace, hospitality, and regard for the poor and oppressed. At this time in history, they bring attention to critical and massive injustices.
How can we be part of healing the crisis of today? Bluestem Earth Festival: Living with Justice and Care is an effort of the Joliet Franciscan Sisters and Associates.
This free event will feature a variety of earth friendly activities such as workshops, eco-conscious exhibits and vendors, entertainment and children’s activities. There will also be speakers addressing contemporary social concerns such as human trafficking and water issues. A tour of the historic Motherhouse building on the grounds of the USF campus, food and music performances from a few local bands will round out the day.
