Businesses that haul garbage, recyclables, landscape materials, construction and demolition materials may be subject to the Will County Waste Hauler Reporting Ordinance. This ordinance requires a company engaged in transporting unwanted materials to a disposal location, reuse or recycling facility to report. Every six months, a report must be completed and submitted to the Will County Land Use Department/Resource Recovery & Energy Division. This report is due 30 days after each six-month reporting period ends.

Reports are considered confidential and protected as proprietary information. Data from all haulers are aggregated into measurements of the amount of waste generated and diverted in Will County. These numbers are reported to the Illinois EPA by state law.

Reports can be submitted virtually using this online form. The online form is preferred to reduce paper use, but if a reporting business is unable to use the online form, the paper form may be downloaded, completed, and submitted.
