Curbside Recycling Items

New Lenox Curbside Program accepts:

    • All types of paper (includes - newspaper, office paper, unwanted mail, colored paper, magazines, phone books, catalogs, paperback books, construction paper, note paper, greeting cards, envelopes, Post It notes, maps, receipts, coupons, ticket stubs)
    • Corrugated Cardboard (includes clean pizza boxes)
    • Chipboard/Paperboard (includes the interior of the toilet paper rolls)
    • Aluminum cans (foil currently excluded) 
    • Empty dried paint cans
    • Glass Bottles & Jars  
    • Plastic #1 & #2 Containers  
    • Plastic #3 & #4 Containers   
    • Plastic #5 & #7 Containers
    • Steel/Tin Cans 

    Does NOT include -  Plastic #6, Styrofoam, Plastic Bags or Film, Plastic Six-Pack Rings, Contaminated Paper
    Some additional items accepted at the Will County - New Lenox Township Drop-Off

    Motor Oil and Antifreeze Recycling:

    New Lenox Township and all four New Lenox Fire District Stations

    4th Saturday of the month 8am-Noon

    Requires motor oil to be seperate from gasoline.
     

    Propane Tank, Cylinder and Fire Extingisher Recycling:

    New Lenox Township and all four New Lenox Fire District Stations

    Propane only, no helium tanks or other gas cylinders.
