Curbside Recycling Items

New Lenox Curbside Program accepts:

  • All types of paper (includes - newspaper, office paper, unwanted mail, colored paper, magazines, phone books, catalogs, paperback books, construction paper, note paper, greeting cards, envelopes, Post It notes, maps, receipts, coupons, ticket stubs)
  • Corrugated Cardboard (includes clean pizza boxes)
  • Chipboard/Paperboard (includes the interior of the toilet paper rolls)
  • Aluminum cans (foil currently excluded) 
  • Empty dried paint cans
  • Glass Bottles & Jars  
  • Plastic #1 & #2 Containers  
  • Plastic #3 & #4 Containers   
  • Plastic #5 & #7 Containers
  • Steel/Tin Cans 

Does NOT include -  Plastic #6, Styrofoam, Plastic Bags or Film, Plastic Six-Pack Rings, Contaminated Paper
Some additional items accepted at the Will County - New Lenox Township Drop-Off

    4th Saturday of the month 8am-Noon

    Includes: Aluminum Foil & Trays, Empty Aerosol Cans, Drink Boxes/Juice Pouches, Cardboard.
     

    Medication Take Back:

    New Lenox Police Department

    815-462-6100

    Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (no needles).

     

    Motor Oil and Antifreeze Recycling:

    New Lenox Township
    1100 S. Cedar Road
    815-485-6431
    Open Monday - Friday 1pm - 3:30pm
    4th Saturday of the month 8am - Noon
    Requires motor oil to be seperate from gasoline.
