Businesses that haul garbage, recyclables, landscape materials, construction and demolition materials may be subject to the Will County Waste Hauler Reporting Ordinance. This ordinance requires a company engaged in transporting unwanted materials to a disposal location, reuse or recycling facility to report.  Every six months, a report must be completed and submitted to the Will County Land Use Department/Resource Recovery & Energy Division. 

Reports are considered confidential and protected as propritary information.  The information is culminatied into a measurement of the amount of waste generation in Will County and the amount of waste diversion.  These numbers are reported to the Illinois EPA by State law.
