It is free of charge for Will County residents. Mercury and most mercury containing items are accepted. Other items include: pool chemicals, recharagable batteries, lead-acid batteries, compact fluorescent lights, aerosol products and lawn chemicals.

Earth Hour calls on businesses, government and individuals to turn out their lights for one hour. If possible turn as many electrical devices as possible for one hour. It is a way to increase consciousness of the amount energy we use and find ways to reduce it.
