Drop off nearly all types of electronics and household chemicals, hazardous materials and liquids. Limit 3 TVs per vehicle, 15 gallons of paint per vehicle, and 15 light bulbs per vehicle. Some electronic items accepted include: televisions (limit 3 per vehicle), computers, printers, radios, phones, microwaves, toaster ovens, power tools, batteries (alkaline, rechargeable, lithium) and more. See the list of accepted items for more details.
Some household hazardous items accepted include: paints and stains (limit 15 gallons per vehicle), fluorescent light bulbs (limit 15 per vehicle), cleaning products, mercury and mercury-containing items, lawn and garden chemicals (like fertilizers and pesticides), automotive fluids and batteries, pool chemicals, and more.
Some items NOT accepted include: fireworks/explosives, agricultural wastes, fire extinguishers, ammunition, radioactive material, business or institutional wastes, controlled substances, regular garbage, tires, smoke detectors, medical waste/sharps, air conditioners or appliances, wooden speakers (non-wooden speakers OK), dehumidifiers, and more. Electronics are removed from vehicles first, then household hazardous waste. Please pack your vehicle accordingly.
Will County uses an appointment system to improve participants experience at our popular collection events. The system provides participants with predictable lines and smoother service. We appreciate everyone's effort to bring materials to this event. Please make an appointment and adhere to your appointment time as closely as possible.
