Water Conservation is a Grand Slam with the Slammers

01:05 PM - 04:00 PM

DuPage Medical Group Field - home of the Slammers
1 Mayor Art Schultz Drive
Joliet, IL, 60432

Will County and the City of Joliet have teamed up with the Slammers to offer plenty of ways to score by reducing water use. Free giveaways and chances to win some valuable prizes throughout the game. Admission cost $2 in advance, $3 day of the game. Be sure to complete the pledge card being distributed to fans at the game for your chance to win!

Water use is a serious concern in Joliet and throughout Will County. The quality and quantity of our acquifers as well as the energy used to transport water from them or from Lake Michigan make the reduction in water use a win-win for all of us!

On Tuesday, June 14, the Slamers are helping make water conservation fun with a unique theme to their game against the Washington Wild Things. With support from local governments, non-profit organizations and businesses within Will County there will be information booths on the concourse offering fans a chance to learn more ways to save water.

During the game, everyone that turns in their Pledge to Reduce Water will be entered to win a valuable Rain Barrel during inning changes.

Sponsors include:

City of Joliet, Will County, The Conservation Foundation, the Home Depot, R.E.S., and the American Water Works Association!
