The annual Illinois Recycling Conference is being held at Joliet Junior College on Aug 30 and 31 with 18 informational sessions and several tours to choose from to see recycling and composting facilities in the area. There are registration fees that include meals and costs for tour buses.
The conference theme is RECYCLING: The Secret Weapon to Combat Climate Change. The keynote is being offered by the president of the National Recycling Coalition and speakers from around the country will be providing insights into everything from markets for materials to producer responsibility laws and much more.
