STOP by Plum Creek Nature Center and send off your post-holiday pumpkin with a bang. DROP it off for composting, but not before ROLLING it down Pumpkin Alley.

All activities are self-guided, and safety procedures have been put into place. Your first stop i:
Check in at the nature center to ensure your pumpkins are compost ready — free of plastics, candles or other foreign objects.
Go to Pumpkin Alley on the hill to let the good times roll. Set your aim, hit a target, or race your family. Finally, drop off your pumpkin at the compost station so it may live another day as nutrients for our pollinator garden. Everyone wins!

Stop, Drop, Pumpkin Roll will be held Saturdays and Sundays throughout November. Visitor center hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays.

Event Requirements

No registration required.

Please note: Masks are required for all in-person, indoor and outdoor program participants, with the exception of those younger than 2 years old and those with a medical condition or disability that prevents them from wearing one, per state guidelines.

Plum Creek Nature Center is an accessible facility. The grass-covered hill at Goodenow Grove Nature Preserve is 40-feet high and is a short walk from the nature center on pavement and natural surface terrain. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should mention their request when registering, or submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
