Energy Star is a federal program that is most well known for their certification of consumer products for energy efficiency. Additionally, the programs offers businesses the opportunity to be certified for the energy efficiency of their buildings. Energy effiecient buildings save businesses money while also reducing the amount of energy use on the electric grid.
