Braidwood Hazardous Waste & Electronics Event (canceled due to COVID-19)

Collection of nearly all types of electronics and household chemicals, hazardous materials and liquids. All participants are asked to make an appointment. - We regret to inform you that this event had to be canceled due to COVID-19 complications. We hope to reschedule.

Appointments will not be taken after NOON on Friday, prior to the event. There is a limit of 2 TVs per vehicle and ID required. We offer service to all Will County residents and ALL residents of any communities partially within Will County.

Please be aware that Will County implemented an appointment system to improve participant's experience. The system is intended to provide predictable lines and smoother service. However, no appointments will be taken after NOON on Friday, May 1 in anticipation of the event on Saturday.

No appointments are being taken any longer due to COVID-19

Electronic Items Accepted include: Televisions (limit 2), Computers, laptops, tablets, notebooks, monitors, printers, copiers, mice, speakers, cameras, video cameras, telephones, answering machines, microwaves, radios, stereos, vacuum cleaners, toaster ovens, blenders (no glass), coffee makers (no glass), power tools, etc. 

 

HHW Items Accepted include: All types of paints/stains (limit 15 gallons), Old/Unwanted medication, Paint thinners, Solvents, Drain cleaners, Cleaning products, Rechargeable batteries, Mercury & mercury items, Aerosol paints & pesticides, Lawn & garden chemicals and fertilizers, Used oil, Used oil Filters, Old gasoline, Antifreeze, Automotive/ Boat batteries, Pool chemicals, Driveway Sealer, Fluorescent light bulbs and Compact fluorescent bulbs (limit 15 bulbs total)

 

Items NOT Accepted include: Fireworks/ Explosives, Agricultural wastes, Fire extinguishers, Ammunition (check with your local police department), Radioactive material, Institutional wastes, Controlled substances, Alkaline batteries, Business wastes, Regular garbage, Tires, Smoke/CO detectors, Medical waste/Sharps, Gas cylinders, Appliances, Dehumidifiers.
