Dr. Phil Craft served as the Kentucky State Apiarist from 1999 through 2011. He is a graduate of Oberlin College in Ohio (BA in biology), and of the University of Kentucky. Phil continues to communicate with beekeepers through his "Ask Phil" question/answer column which appears monthly in Bee Culture magazine, and through his webpage, Philcrafthivecraft.com. He is also the U.S. technical adviser for Veto-pharma, the maker of Apivar.  A native of the mountains of Eastern Kentucky, he now lives out in the sticks in the Bluegrass region of Kentucky near Lexington with his family, a very old dog, and some bee hives. Grant Gillard manages over 200 colonies in Missouri and is a regional and national speaker and author. Grant has published several articles in the American Bee Journal regarding colony management techniques. "A Ton of Honey: Managing Your Hives for Maximum Production" and "Beekeeping With Twenty-five Hives: From Passion to Profits," are two of his most noted books. He was president of the Missouri State Beekeepers from 2009 - 2011 and the Missouri Beekeeper of the Year in 2012.

Jim Lindau is a Certified Master Beekeeper with more than 30 years of beekeeping expertise, and Vice President of the Will County Beekeepers Association.

Marge Trocki is a Naturalist, Experienced Beekeeper and Beekeeping Educator.

Jennifer Parshall is a beekeeper and graphic designer/marketing professional who uses social media to market her hive products at Facebook.com/mollysbees.
